Lola is a lively and beautiful girl, recently engaged to Masetto, the baker´s son. She wants to make love but Masetto wants her to stay a virgin until they marry. When he resists her passionate attempts to seduce him, she starts feeling dangerously attracted to Andre, her mother´s lover. Tales of Andre´s prior amorous adventures have inflamed Lola´s imagination, and he begins a tantalising game with her, only to be stopped - naturally - by Lola´s mother. Strung out from frustration, Lola returns to Masetto, and blames him for a sexual attack that she was nearly suffered at the hands of a stranger.
